About.

My name is Maik Wilhelm. I am a photographer from Munich who sees photography not merely as a craft, but as an art form and a means of expression. My Fujifilm and analog cameras are more than tools — they are trusted companions on my search for the perfect interplay of light and color.

My passion lies in capturing the beauty of the world and revealing meaning in small, fleeting moments. Many of the images I create are quiet invitations — to see the world through my eyes, to pause, to notice, and to appreciate its many layers.

Of course, a great number of my photographs involve time and care — some more, some less. Whether it’s digital editing, developing negatives, or scanning film, there’s often a process behind the final image, even when I aim to keep the edits minimal. But not every photograph needs to be perfect or meticulously planned. Photography is also about spontaneity, joy, and letting things be as they are.

I don’t earn any money from this — it’s a time-consuming and financially demanding pursuit driven purely by love and dedication. It’s not something I simply do — it’s something I feel compelled to do.
